We are all Leaders!

Friday, August 10, 2007

Current mood:defiant

This a message to all my friends, associates, and co-humans:

We cannot all passively stand by complaining about the poor state of affairs and hope it will magically disappear. We are all looking for a leader and a hero and well those leaders and heroes are us, each and every one of us.

I want to get this message out. I want people to hear the call to stand up for our rights and claim the bounty that is all of ours and not the .005% that owns (or think it owns) it. What is occurring world wide is deplorable and unnecessary. There is immense suffering and social injustice occurring and we must all collectively work to lessen it. Can we eliminate it? Why not! Hell yea! But lets first work on lessening it and I think that collectively yes in OUR lifetimes it can be done (hunger eliminated, climate stabilized, resources fairly distributed) if people cooperated and stood up in unison. Yes, this is a daunting task and I am 35, not 15 nor 25 so I am not naive, nor do I under estimate the obstacles that we face but what I saw occur in Nepal in April '06 when the king was overthrown in two weeks was encouraging. Its about People Power and you know this and I know this. It has never been truly tried before and the few people who are trying cannot do it alone. We must help, we must get involved, we must get the word out and speak to everyone who will listen about the issues that are important to this planet, to all humans, to all living things and to all citizens of all nations. Such issues like global warming, alarming weather events, incessant war, hunger, and simple diesease that is rampant and treatable throughout the developing world as well as the US. We must keep getting the message out. There is much work to be done and finding people who think along these lines is not always easy when everyone is just trying to survive.

We must make the example first even if we are doing so out of self-sacrafice. We must make sacrafices to improve the world. This is not enough even, we must become leaders. There are many who will only follow when they see its safe and the path is laid out for them. Yes, these are the sheep among us and in ways we all act as sheep but this too can be changed. It is the nature of humans and mammals to follow the leaders. It is the Alpha behaving people we tend to follow.

We all need to be Alpha!

If you seek freedom and justice for the world and yourself you will need to lead, you need to be Alpha. You must assure those who are timid to step forward and speak for themselves as join in this discourse of humanities fate, along with the planet Earth.

We must all set the example for others to follow and if we do so, follow they will till the point other leaders will emerge! It will get easier.

We the people have been told for too long we are powerless and that this is "how things are" or "this is our lot in life"! This talk is defeatist and we must not succumb to it. It is up to us all to defend this earth and it's inhabitants. We must consider our children, their children and all the living things that are not able to stop the rampant destruction, greed, corruption and abuse of power that is occurring worldwide and daily. It is our collective responsibility to do something to improve this planet. We can not wait for a Ghandi, a Martin Luther King, a JFK, a Rosa Parks to show us the way! YOU my friends and co-humans are THAT PERSON! You are the next Dr. Martin Luther King j.r, Rosa Parks, and Ghandi wrapped up into one with a dash of Che and Malcolm X ! We are all Civil Rights leaders and must act accordingly!

Go and make a difference in your life and the lives around you and as they say,

"think local, act globally!"

Peace (make it happen),

Aaron
