Consolidated Blog(s)
So, I am excited to start blogging for one thing that held me up was settling on a final place to do it and have everything in one place. So here it is!!!
....
good time to tell you of how I stood outside
Baruch while Hillary Spoke with a
Obama/Clinton sign. I was walking home
and saw a bunch of News trucks.
I inquired at Baruch College which
was teeming with Secret Service agents.
Hillary Clinton was going to speak.
After seeing it was futile trying to get inside I went home. While home I decided it was silly to hear the speech at home when she was only blocks away. I did not want to go and stand there for no reason. I made a big sign. My sign said: OBAMA
-------------
CLINTON
Unite for a change
08
It was rather large and colorful.
I had my photo taken by press, I was interviewed by a few different international media outlets, asked to stand in backround while reporters reported to Danish, Spanish, Italian, French news live. I was asked to be in a documentaryabout Millenial Generation and interviewed for Japanese radio. Lots of random people took my photo, and I think secret Service took my photo as well. It was successful that I got to be seen by Hill, Bill and Chelsea who saw my sign. That was the primary point. I wanted to reach out.
I went there not to see Hilary but to be seen by her. On my sign it said "Unite for a Change 08"
The point is not me, nor the sign but that
I demostrated a message and that it was so
simple to have an effect. I was threatened by passerbys, yelled at, cheered, I got the thumbs
up by many and my photo taken by many
people to end up where I do not know. People engaged me on the street and it was more often than not a positive exchange. It felt truly democratic to talk to people on the streets. I even heard if from Mccain supporters. We all can make a sign and go out. You can write anything you want. I made it on a normal computer printer. I printed the letters as big as possible.
SO make your own sign and go out and stand for something (literally)!!!
It felt good!

What is going on with our economy? How is it that a few people have somehow stolen our Nations wealth and after stealing it has the audacity to have the tax payers pay for their theft. The mega corporations, the mega banks and the current Bush regime has moved our money off shore and transferred our dollars into Euros. They also gave our money in form of loans from China to buy oil from the Saudis. This all with out mentioning the war in Iraq and the cost to us nearing a trillion dollars. This is a war costing the US ten billion dollars a month and we wonder why our economy is going under? |
Purging people from my life
Thursday, July 10, 2008
To my friends and former friends, I just deleted over hundred people from myspace and facebook. I am sad about this. Many of these people I have invited to my house, knew as a child, been to their parties, they have been to my parties, and others I barely knew or never even met. I was not planning to do this. My plan was to give notice and let people have a chance to redeem themselves as friends. However, why should I give an ultimatum to people to be my friend? If they wanted to actively be my friend they would. Some routinely flaked on plans, others did not return phone calls and others were not in touch with me at all. That is fine and their right. Recently, my Mother has been in the hospital for the past two weeks and she went there initially because of internal bleeding and fractures in her spine which caused her extreme pain to the point of being unable to move. While in the hospital and on the 4th of July she had a heart major attack and needed to be shocked to save her life. She is stable now but the final prognosis is still unknown, the bleeding continues, and her colon is enlarged which might mean cancer. Her condition is life threatening and it unsure what will occur? Needless to say this has caused much distress and these past weeks have been trying. I have not before now announced this and I do not expect people to be telepathic and/or clairvoyant. Many of those close to me like my girlfriend, my closest friends have been extremely supportive. Others who do know have not even called to inquire what is her condition or to ask me if I am ok. Many of my (former) so called friends of mine do not even know and they do not know this because they do not make an effort to stay in touch with me. Some have not recently returned my phone calls or responded to my emails. I'd like to say I do not care but that would be a lie. If those of you do not know this about me, I am a sensitive person and friendship/loyalty are very important. I am not blaming anyone who does not know or has not called me. I do not have that kind of history with everyone I know and if you are reading this than I do not have any bad feelings towards you. There are others though who I have decided to write off. I think this situation has helped me see who my friends are and who my friends are not. I am tired of people making plans and cancelling last moment, or not even cancelling them but just vanishing the day those plans were made. I am in no need for virtual friends or friends who do not care to know me, see me, talk to me and these friends in one fell swoop are no longer a part of my life. I purged facebook, now myspace, soon my phone and it will be the same in person. I am not bitter, I am admittedly hurt, a little angry perhaps, definitely disappointed but I feel good (as much as one can ridding oneself of dozens of people once considered to be friends) because I know that this is the right thing to do. Some of those I deleted did nothing grievous to me, I expected nothing from them, they offered me nothing they were just faces on my profile or people that added me that I once went to school with or met somewhere. I mean them no offense I just did not see the point anymore of hearing about them or looking at their pictures when we do not even talk, have no intention of meeting and never did. Those are the innocent. The guilty are those who do know me and did not match efforts to be friends, or flaked on plans routinely, did not hear from for long periods, did not return my calls or emails and so on. I doubt I will miss either category. If I am important to them and I offended them by deleting them and they care enough they will let me know and make an effort. IF not than it is no loss. I have never, ever had a problem meeting people anywhere, any place or any time. It was one of my gifts but I cannot force people to be my friend for real and act such. I am with a heavy heart. When ones Mother is ill and this hits you, it puts things into perspective. From this perspective I want people in my life that care about me and want my company. I would rather face things alone than look for people and feel even lonelier. Those who have been there for me I thank them and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. with respect and sincerity, Aaron Olivo |

It's the fourth of July and we are celebrating our independance. I might wonder if we would not be better off under British rule these days? |
Me and G-d
Monday, June 16, 2008
I am not a particularly religous person. I sin daily. I am Jewish but not a good Jew. However, I do believe in G-d. I believe I am insignificant in the universe and that I am a mere spark, an insect or even less compared to the grandeur of the universe. I was just outside in nature. I felt the dew on my skin, the wet grass on my bare feet, and the darkness all around. I could see lightning bugs, and hear strange sounds from the woods and this made me feel so alive. I looked at the darkened sky and prayed. I prayed for my family, for others families and for the world. I asked G-d for strength to do the things I hope to do. I wanted to sleep outside but instead eventually went inside. However, the feeling I was left with is that there is something powerful that exist in the universe and we can give it any name we like. For this rant I will cal it G-d and I will proclaim that I believe in G-d and that I challenge anyone to prove G-d does not exist. I will not dare to convince anyone differently for let people come to their own conclusions but I know that G-d is good. I believe that in all our cruelty and the cruelty of nature that we are good as well. We must do good. We must feel good. We must fight for good and believe in the goodness of creation. What else is there? What, where, why, when, who? The five Ws. We are the five Ws and when you are fighting for your daily scraps ask yourself: |
America is ready for a Black president if you believe it is!
Sunday, May 25, 2008 2:48 am
I am not going to accept what I hear from people that the US of A is not ready for a black president. When will the US be ready than? We are ready for it and it is about time. We cannot afford to let ourselves to be held back by fear and ignorance any longer. |
Tired of this Reality? Let us change it!
Saturday, March 15, 2008 1:29am
I am tired of the media. I am tired of the media. I am tired of the media. I am tired of our government; I am tired of our government. I am tired of our government, I am tired of our society, I am tired of our society, and I am tired of our society. I am saying this over and over like a mantra to remind myself that when I am tired of things I desire to change them. I am not saying that I might affect a change on things but I am saying that I will die/live trying; complacency is not a proper response for myself and dare say for all of us. It does not have to be this way. It does not have to be this way. I want to repeat this to myself and I suggest you all do the same. Its is all "police and thieves" like the Junior Marvin reggae song and I am tired of this and I want myself and others (you) to stand up for what you believe and let us not resign in defeat or accept this unacceptable reality. |

Be Yourself and be proud of it!
Thursday, November 15, 2007
I have a big mouth, that is I tend to speak my mind and at times not at appropriate times. To all those concerned or rather, that I am concerned about I would like to say I am working on it. I am working on it to be a more effective communicator and to be more sensitive to people around me. However, I might say that at least I am trying to be my "true" self and am real. That is more than I can say about a lot of people I see, especially in New York City. So, my advice to everyone (and myself) is to be your "true"inner self and be proud of who you are. Be happy now, do not wait till tomorrow to be happy, BE HAPPY NOW! DO NOT WAIT FOR CONDITIONAL HAPPINESS IT WILL NEVER OCCUR AND YOU WILL LIVE YOUR LIFE WAITING FOR IT! IT'S HERE! IT'S INSIDE! LET'S ENJOY THE MOMENT AND STOP WORRYING, IT WILL BE OK! :) HAVE A GREAT LIFE AND MAKE EVERYTHING AROUND YOU "BETTER"! BE SELFLESS AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR SELF! I also advise making up your own Zen like statements, it's very entertaining. Ok, now at the count of three...I want you to smile and realize that things are good and life is beautiful.. 1......2....................3 (Breathe Deeply and exhale) and SMILE! Please do not send this to anyone and nothing will happen if you do not send it, and if you do this or you do not feel happy, it's ok maybe you are just constipated? |

Slavery still exist part 1
This is a plea to all those who might read this: We are heading towards a presidential election. The last 7 years has been a time of rape and pillage of the ruling elite of the middle and lower classes. In fact in the US alone 1.7 trillion dollars has left the middle class and went up to the top %1 pockets and what are we so called middle class people left with? We have credit card debts, unpaid bills, school loans to pay, medical bills, many are poorly insured or uninsured, 40% of Americans are in debt! The United states is trillions of dollars in deficit and where did the money go? WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU SHEEP! In all due respect of course! I am tired of looking into your blank, weary eyes on the Subway commuting you modern day serfs! Wake up landless Serfdom is back (one example is the sub prime mortgage collapse), as also get this Slavery has not ended it just changed names. Have you been to some of our fine inner city projects lately? Do you see what has been done to the African American community with Bush Family sponsored drugs and CIA inspired race riots in watts, LA, and Detroit. "As of 2006, a record 7 million people were behind bars, on probation or parole. Of the total, 2.2 million were incarcerated. China ranks second with 1.5 million, though China has over three times the population of the US." Most of those offenses are drug related and from some of the drugs the CIA/FBI/BLACK WATER/NSA (almost same org) shipped into the nation to profit from and to justify a myriad of criminal activities too many to list! The prisons you can just call "plantations" for the inmates work for the new masters ATT, the Military weapons complex, and many others: Parallel to Nazi Germany? There are approximately 2 million inmates in state, federal and private prisons throughout the country. According to California Prison Focus, "no other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens." The figures show that the United States has locked up more people than any other country: a half million more than China, which has a population five times greater than the U.S. Statistics reveal that the United States holds 25% of the world's prison population, but only 5% of the world's people. From less than 300,000 inmates in 1972, the jail population grew to 2 million by the year 2000. In 1990 it was one million. Ten years ago there were only five private prisons in the country, with a population of 2,000 inmates; now, there are 100, with 62,000 inmates. It is expected that by the coming decade, the number will hit 360,000, according to reports. What has happened over the last 10 years? Why are there so many prisoners? "The private contracting of prisoners for work fosters incentives to lock people up. Prisons depend on this income. Corporate stockholders who make money off prisoners' work lobby for longer sentences, in order to expand their workforce. The system feeds itself," says a study by the Progressive Labor Party, which accuses the prison industry of being "an imitation of Nazi Germany with respect to forced slave labor and concentration camps." The prison industry complex is one of the fastest-growing industries in the United States and its investors are on Wall Street. "This multimillion-dollar industry has its own trade exhibitions, conventions, websites, and mail-order/Internet catalogs. It also has direct advertising campaigns, architecture companies, construction companies, investment houses on Wall Street, plumbing supply companies, food supply companies, armed security, and padded cells in a large variety of colors." According to the Left Business Observer, the federal prison industry produces 100% of all military helmets, ammunition belts, bullet-proof vests, ID tags, shirts, pants, tents, bags, and canteens. Along with war supplies, prison workers supply 98% of the entire market for equipment assembly services; 93% of paints and paintbrushes; 92% of stove assembly; 46% of body armor; 36% of home appliances; 30% of headphones/microphones/speakers; and 21% of office furniture. Airplane parts, medical supplies, and much more: prisoners are even raising seeing-eye dogs for blind people." The U.N is annoying and I am going back to bed
Thursday, September 27, 2007
I live not far from the UN in Manhattan and its General Assembly time. All the world's criminals are here to bicker over their easy earned spoils. Meanwhile, what this means to the dopes that live here is tantamount to a police state with cops on every corner searching people, sirens and armored vehicle convoys with big wig losers and Gorillas with Assault rifles and HK MP-5 in Flak jackets. It is never ending and the traffic, honking, air pollution it causes is aggravating and harmful. The president of Iran is in and this man is pure evil like his counterpart in the White House. He says there are no Gays in Iran. I have met Gay Iranians but arguably outside of Iran but I am sure some of gone back. What is this man on? Is he that ignorant or is this an elaborate ruse? I cannot figure it out about these seemingly evil men. In my hearts of hearts the people at the UN would meet to solve (as in not create) the world's problems. They would meet to end world hunger, war, disease but this is not what the meet to do. They meet to make business deals to make themselves, their families and friends richer and more powerful. I despise the UN and most of the things they do. There are some redeeming things but they are too few to mention since the corruption and fat attached would make it junk. |
Not A Robot

I was just outside and ate breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, homefries, turkey bacon, whole wheat toast, juice and peppermint tea. I confess I put ketchup on the potatoes. I sat in the same booth I always do, the one by the window that looks across at my unattractive, brown bricked building and watched (and photographed) the people passing. I am so off the track of a 9 to fiver that the people running about at 8am seem to be like insane worker bees to me. Where are they going? why? why so fast? for how long? how many years? |
We are all Leaders!
Friday, August 10, 2007
This a message to all my friends, associates, and co-humans: We cannot all passively stand by complaining about the poor state of affairs and hope it will magically disappear. We are all looking for a leader and a hero and well those leaders and heroes are us, each and every one of us. I want to get this message out. I want people to hear the call to stand up for our rights and claim the bounty that is all of ours and not the .005% that owns (or think it owns) it. What is occurring world wide is deplorable and unnecessary. There is immense suffering and social injustice occurring and we must all collectively work to lessen it. Can we eliminate it? Why not! Hell yea! But lets first work on lessening it and I think that collectively yes in OUR lifetimes it can be done (hunger eliminated, climate stabilized, resources fairly distributed) if people cooperated and stood up in unison. Yes, this is a daunting task and I am 35, not 15 nor 25 so I am not naive, nor do I under estimate the obstacles that we face but what I saw occur in Nepal in April '06 when the king was overthrown in two weeks was encouraging. Its about People Power and you know this and I know this. It has never been truly tried before and the few people who are trying cannot do it alone. We must help, we must get involved, we must get the word out and speak to everyone who will listen about the issues that are important to this planet, to all humans, to all living things and to all citizens of all nations. Such issues like global warming, alarming weather events, incessant war, hunger, and simple diesease that is rampant and treatable throughout the developing world as well as the US. We must keep getting the message out. There is much work to be done and finding people who think along these lines is not always easy when everyone is just trying to survive. We must make the example first even if we are doing so out of self-sacrafice. We must make sacrafices to improve the world. This is not enough even, we must become leaders. There are many who will only follow when they see its safe and the path is laid out for them. Yes, these are the sheep among us and in ways we all act as sheep but this too can be changed. It is the nature of humans and mammals to follow the leaders. It is the Alpha behaving people we tend to follow. We all need to be Alpha! If you seek freedom and justice for the world and yourself you will need to lead, you need to be Alpha. You must assure those who are timid to step forward and speak for themselves as join in this discourse of humanities fate, along with the planet Earth. We must all set the example for others to follow and if we do so, follow they will till the point other leaders will emerge! It will get easier. We the people have been told for too long we are powerless and that this is "how things are" or "this is our lot in life"! This talk is defeatist and we must not succumb to it. It is up to us all to defend this earth and it's inhabitants. We must consider our children, their children and all the living things that are not able to stop the rampant destruction, greed, corruption and abuse of power that is occurring worldwide and daily. It is our collective responsibility to do something to improve this planet. We can not wait for a Ghandi, a Martin Luther King, a JFK, a Rosa Parks to show us the way! YOU my friends and co-humans are THAT PERSON! You are the next Dr. Martin Luther King j.r, Rosa Parks, and Ghandi wrapped up into one with a dash of Che and Malcolm X ! We are all Civil Rights leaders and must act accordingly! Go and make a difference in your life and the lives around you and as they say, "think local, act globally!" Peace (make it happen), Aaron |

check out my Video about Gan and my Gallery
So, I have revamped my Myspace profile, put my GAN video and posted a bunch of photos. It was pleasant to recieve positive feedback from my peeps out there who checked it out. Yesterday, I was going through that feeling of wanting to delete people on my account that I do not really know. However, I resisted the urge, okay I did delete an annoying girl who posted annoying chain letters all the time. Anyway, I figure that I do not want to delete those I do not know but I will invite you all to one of my photo exhibitions. This way I might have a chance to understand as to how I have you added as a friend. I don't want to believe that you are some superficial thumbnail on my profile but that there is some reason destined that out of the millions (maybe hundreds of millions) of Myspace random people I have you there and well me there on your profile. I must confess that I got drunk on three beers tonight. Yes, I drank three beers in a coffee cup and got drunk off it. I had a craving for it. Now I am buzzed. What I wanted to say is that I am posting photos here and my mini-doc so please check them out. |
